Now that it’s been a few years, what are your thoughts on NHOU vs. FF and Surface Shield?

I was using Surface Shield and Fluid Film. I’m going to give NHOU (New Hampshire Oil) a go this fall. Nothing against the other two.

Their vise is a 90 day warranty, not a lifetime warranty.

Try Milwaukee's Cobalt hard metal drill bits I seem to work pretty good for me

I like Fluid Film. I really don't have an issue with spraying it. You claim it's too thick. Never had an issue myself...

Not sold on Surface Shield yet. Cost about twice as much as Fluid Film. No real prof it does a better job. I like black coating on the chassis. That rust and grim look aweful on the bottom of your Ford, yet I know it's protected. As I am, I'd rather not see all the crud.

I've been using woolwax for a few years. Mostly just touch up here and there after first year since the stuff stays on forever for the most part.

I use woolwax in frames, especially high wash areas. Thicker, greasier, the only thing iot does get a good layer of dirt stuck to it. Surface shield being thinner I spray into door panels and such.

Surface Shield now 261bucks for 5 gallon bucket on Amazon (in U.S) . Are you in Canada? I bought 5 gallons woolwax 3 years ago. Only needed about a gallon and a half for my pickup truck. That stuff is thick, still adhering to all surfaces. I just touch up spots here and there with cans of surface shield when I do oil changes.I also use the surface shield in panels and doors since it's thinner.

It was acetone that you use that's affecting the finish. The acetone causes the surface to bubble. This is due to the towel people use to apply the acetone. Doesn't matter how much you clean the towel it will still have dirty and little micro cotton balls that will transfer to your surface and ruin the finish.

Husqvarna is Swedish for crap. I have had two with nothing but problems.

I mean, you aren't supposed to constantly repeatedly jump cars with these things. They're made for emergencies. My JNC 660 can do at least two cars in a row off one charge. I know cuz I've done that many times. (Chevy S10 and someone else's car). If you are at home you need to attach a trickle charger to your car battery. If your car battery is completely dead you need to replace it.

600 hours on a 2754 Husquavarna the frame broke on both sides. The frame has too many holes for no reason. The frames broke where the little bracket holds the trans to the frame.

Looks more like there isn’t any fluid film… like the shop took your money and ran…my truck is constantly oozing it out of my doors and fenders.. 2016 GM I have sprayed it myself every year 👍

I have three cans in the garage and went to use them today and all the sprayed maybe a third and now nothing. Feels like it clogs. Any fix for this?

Mine doing the same i was able to untwist the round little dea on the wirel next to the starter solenoid right next to the battery on passenger side and take the end that is towards the front of the truck not the one close to cab and touch the inside of it which is a round metal thing inside of it and touch to the positive post on battery with key on and starts right up

I got one and love it. Recommend you put threadlocker on the allen screws on the adjustment end as well as the spring-loaded adjustment pin in the back. They will be wanting to back out until you do.

I think you should undercoat in the summer. Probably too cold in the fall to get good results.

You need a 5 horse 20 CFM at least

Very nice generator - I own. Been great. I put painters tape over the plugs. Remove that red bar at the bottom between the motor and the frame - just for shipping. Duromax says To change oil every 20 hours use so any multi days - try and squeeze in at least one.

dang Fluid Film at a shop every year or two? Obviously that did not work. Tragic. If you can only do once a year treatment that probably better do a wax treatment.

What were you doing to break the frame? Pulling something heavy or just mowing? Even my Cub Cadet lasted 12 yrs.
